This catalogue is updated quarterly, however new items often arrive between updates. If there is something specific that you are looking for please email me with your 'wants list'. I will let you know as soon as anything interesting comes in.

To use this on-line catalogue display please choose a section from the links on the left and then browse the items below. Use the "Email" link next to an item if you want to ask any questions before buying.

All purchases are dealt with personally, not through an impersonal, on-line store. Although prices are shown in English pounds sterling, I will ship internationally.

Many of our items are shown in the Picture Gallery pages.
Please enjoy browsing the pictures. When you've found something you like in the pictures you can use the search box on this page to find the description and price.

M9050 - TELEGRAPHTRUPPEN BELT BUCKLE.   £185
A pretty rare wide belt buckle for the Prussian Telegraphtruppen, or Telegraph troops, steel buckle with normal prussian buckle centre but the buckle is extra wide and has a flat loop rivetted to each side, to enable these specialist troops to support a reel of wire and leave their hands free when working. These special belt buckles were only issued to these troops and have normal fittings to the rear for the belt leather. This particular buckle has had the facing side plated, possibly for parade use and though worn in places its still very good.

M7556 - SMALL CHINA CUP WITH 2ND CLASS IRON CROSS DESIGN.   £45
A small white, delicate china cup, with decoration of a 2nd class iron cross of the first war, complete with ribbon, very well executed with fine detail, cup has maker details to the base.

M8211 - SET OF TRENCH ARMOUR.   £550
A complete set of german trench armour, consisting of one piece breast plate, which hooks over the shoulders and the other lower plates which were attached by straps and reached down to the groin area, all the straps have rotted and gone just leaving the various sections of armour plate, which are in a semi relic condition but quite sound with only light pitting. Could be displayed as is but with the addition of replacement strap fittings it could be restored to its original look.

M8537 - RELIC MAUSER G98 WITH BAYONET FROM MOUQUET FARM.   £165
A relic german Mauser G98 rifle, still with fixed bayonet, recovered some time ago from the area of Mouquet Farm, which was heavily fought over as part of the battle of the Somme in 1916, the the wood has all gone the rifle is otherwise complete and has the full bayonet, fitted in 1916 and now frozen by rust to its relic rifle since the day it was lost.

M8794 - PRUSSIAN ERSATZ FELT PICKELHAUBE.   £550
A large size, field grey felt, ersatz pickelhaube of 1914-15 period, the Prussian badge and metal fittings are all brass with a silvered wash finish and it has a brown leather chinstrap. The hard felt shell is excellent, the silver finish to the metal fittings a little discoloured and worn, interior has excellent black leather liner and a faint, possible unit stamp to the rear peak, it is missing its cockade discs but is otherwise complete and in very good condition, a really nice helmet and being the ersatz model, pretty scarce.

M7849 - PRUSSIAN BELT AND BUCKLE WITH TROPHY BADGES.   £180
A german firstwar belt with brass, Prussian belt buckle and having been used as a trophy belt, with the addition of various british regimental cap badges, still attached to the belt leather, though a number have been removed, interesting item.

M7844 - OFFICERS 6X BINOCULARS.   £45
A good pair of german officers binoculars, maker marked C.P.Goerz. Berlin. And also marked 6x Helinox Trieder-Binocle D.R.P. The optics are good, adjustment works and they have a good black finish overall, just missing a neck strap.

M8632 - MAUSER G98 RIFLE LEATHER SLING.   £125
Original brown leather sling for the soldiers G98 rifle, has all its metal fittings intact, leather is worn but still supple and could be used.

M7392 - LARGE FRAMED PROFILE METAL BUST OF BISMARK.   £75
A large, blackened wood framed, profile bust of Bismark, size approx 21 x 18 inches, the striking bust being set into a black velvet backing and being of metal with a bronzed finish, back of the frame has heavy duty hooks for hanging and is very well made. Possibly a memorial item made after Bismarks death in the 1930's.

M9056 - GERMAN MACHINE GUNNERS HELMET.   £385
A pretty scarce machine gunners, marked M16 helmet, sadly just a shell which was recovered from the battlefield some years ago and though quite relic inside with a few very small holes to the crown, most of its external finish is intact and still retains its hand painted oval black & white badge showing a Maxim MG inside it, to the right side and a number 5 to the right side (possibly for the company or MG team) and to the rear skirt a verticle red line, possibly to aid quick ID of the wearer. Looks as though the helmet was left buried upside down, letting the liner etc rot away and water lying in the crown corrode it but protecting the finish on the outside, nice original semi-relic example of a very rare helmet.

M8556 - GERMAN KUGEL 1915 GRENADE.   £60
A german model 1915 Kugel grenade, has a segmented cast body in the shape of a ball and should have a fuse pull wire to the top but this is missing, otherwise the grenade is in good condition.

M9051 - GERMAN CASED ARTILLERY SIGHT OPTIC AND COMPASS.   £265
A very finely made german first war "Military Foot Artillery" optical sight and compass issued for use with the 15 cm 1902 model light howitzer. Made by C.P.Goerz of Berlin, the excellent quality compass and spirit level, with a measured straight edge to one side, compass face is marked "Fussartillerie" or Foot Artillery and type number BR1536, is detachable for use on its own, or with the revolving, sighting optics base, which has a base fitting which can attach like an artillery gunsight, or if used with an adaptor, a tripod, the whole thing comes in its fitted, heavy leather case, with strap over lid, which for a 100 years of age is great.

M8898 - AUSTRIAN M17 HELMET SHELL.   £160
A very sound austrian M17 helmet shell, missing all its liner & chinstrap assembly, has traces of original finish but is difficult to see through the very fine coat of surface rust on the shell, giving it a reddish colour but there is no real pitting or corroded area's, just nice as found original condition.

M7533 - AIRMANS MARKED AND NAMED KITBAG.   £145
What I think is an airmans kitbag, light grey canvas material, with metal eyelets for tie cord at neck and hand strap to base, has painted markings of "Feld-Unterarzt. W.Dehmichen. F.L.9. X111. FL.K."

M8634 - 08 PATTERN BINOCULARS IN CASE.   £185
A very good condition pair of Fernglas 08 binoculars with original dark grey paint finish, with leather neck strap and painted alloy rainguard, having velvet lining, complete with later model ersatz case with leather fittings. The small binoculars issued from 1916 have good optics and are maker marked to Rodenstock, Munchen, also marked "K.B.Dienst. FG.08." and also have a (J) mark. Case is excellent with all its leather straps in brown leather, case is black and inside the lid is a paper label with operating instructions for the 08, really nice period set.
