M9598 - WW11 ROYAL MARINE COMMANDO INSIGNIA   Sold
A group of WW11 insignia for the Royal Marine Commando, consisting of two cloth shoulder flashes, one on rectangular black cloth, the other with black backing shaped around the words, a pair of black cloth shields with red daggers and a gilt/gold marines cap or beret badge of the type worn by colour sargeants, all of these items belonged to a commando veteran.

M8617 - WORCS REGT, OFFICERS TROPICAL SHORT SLEEVE JACKET.   £75
A well used and sun bleached, army officers tropical, lightwieght, 4 pocket jacket with rolled sleeves. Jacket has regimental brass buttons for the Worcestershire Regiment and inside is a Moss Bros label stating, " Capt.W.Brown. 1st Bat Worcs Regt. May 1942" The Worcesters were stationed in the Middle East at the wars start and the 1st Batt fought right through the african campaigns but in late june 1942, after heavy fighting in the Battle of Gazala, were captured when Tobruk fell, so Capt Brown may well have worn this jacket at Tobruk. There are stitched holes in the shoulder boards to take his rank pips and marks to the chest to indicate possible medal ribbon attachment and there is some wear damage to the rear from use of a belt, this is an item that could do with research.

M5304 - SILVER CIG/CASE TO R.E.M.E. MAJOR 1942.   £75
A nice, hall marked silver cigarette case, with engine turned finish and gilt interior. A presentation item with inscription inside which reads "Presented to Major S Yeal by the employees of No 4 Sub Workshops R.E.M.E. Ballyclare. December 1942, a very nice item with the Majors initials to the outside.

M9119 - PARA REGIMENT MAROON BERET WITH BADGE.   £500

M9391 - ORIGINAL PAIR OF DESERT RATS SHOULDER PATCHES.   £145
An original matched pair of the famous 7th Armoured Div "Desert Rats" the black cloth shoulder patches having the red Jerboa or desert rat, outlined in white, one patch has a small moth nip, otherwise they are good.

M8446 - OFFICERS PARA REGT BRONZE COLLAR DOGS.   £85
A matching pair of bronze, kings crown, parachute regiment officers collar dogs with fittings intact and excellent condition.

M9074 - OFFICERS MAP BOARD WITH UNIT MARKINGS.   £45
A khaki, webbing covered map board, with clips to hold folding maps under a clear panel, the webbing cover having pen & pencil loops and buckles for a shoulder strap, it is maker marked inside and dated 1942, on the outer cover it has white painted markings for the 2nd in command for a unit having the letter D, which could be for Dorset ? And this could indicate either the Dorset Regt or Dorset Home Guard.

M9409 - HOME GUARD, NAMED SIDE CAP.   Sold
Almost mint, unused khaki side cap, as issued to the Home Guard, having no badge attached, just brass general service buttons to front. Interior is very clean, has makers details and date 1939, also has owners name & service number.

M9601 - HMS ROYAL OAK CAP TALLY   Sold
A full length naval cap tally for HMS Royal Oak, in good condition and supplied with copy photo of the sailor who owned it.

M9602 - HMS ROYAL OAK CAP TALLY   Sold
A naval cap tally for HMS Royal Oak, removed from a cap with knott still in place, supplied with a copy photo of the sailor shown wearing it and his name.

M8876 - FRENCH INFANTRY ADRIAN HELMET WITH DAMAGE.   £100
Interesting french Adrian pattern helmet with metal infantry badge to the front and in an unsual dark blue/black paint finish, has a very good condition black leather liner and brown leather chinstrap. Interesting feature is the alloy combe to the crown of the helmet, this has subjected to what appears to be shrapnel damage which has punctured it in a couple of places, one puncture leaving a small hole in the steel shell below.

M9118 - DENNISON CAMO PARA JUMP SMOCK.   £850
A good condition Dennison para smock, with half zip opening and open cuffs with popper straps and complete with its tail & poppers, all fittings intact and it has very good colour with very slight faded quality, also has para wings to right shoulder. The maker label states it’s a size 5, so medium but looks larger, maker is Denhams (Norwich) Ltd and dated 1945.

M8229 - COLDSTREAM GUARDS, NAMED BERET.   £95
Interesting biege colour beret with Coldstream Guards metal badge, on a square section of material in regimental colours, with khaki material backing section inside the beret, it has a vivid blue, silk like material lining, with a hand stitched name tag with "St John Child Bart 1 Batl CG" the beret has seen a lot of use and is heavily sweat stained, which has darkened the biege material and caused a split, there is also a split in the black leather edge band, this is really a beret that has been there and done it. This item is wide open for research as I had not information with it, pretty sure the owner was an officer.

M8548 - BRITISH 1944 PATTERN COMBAT HELMET.   £100
Standard M44 "turtle" pattern combat helmet, date stamped 1944, with complete liner assembly and possibly repainted shell, though paint has good age and might be original. Produced in time for D-Day and issued to several infantry regiments that landed on the 6th june 44.

M8327 - AUSTRALIAN ARMY SIDE CAP.   £55
A good, large size, australian army side cap with white metal buttons and a brass cap badge, good, moth free condition.

M9497 - 1945 DATED PARA OVER SMOCK   £350
A 1945 dated and very good condition over smock, as issued to british paratroops and worn over the Dennison smock to offer some protection from the jump harness, basically a waistcoat in khaki green, with full length zip and between the legs tail, same as the dennison. Intended just for the jump, many para's continued to wear it afterwards, as seen in many photo's, these days a scarce item.

M9134 - 1944 DATED PARA HELMET.   £500
A 1944 dated british para helmet, with webbing chinstrap assembly and decent liner, though leather sweatband has suffered some damage. The helmet shell is good, retaining some original finish and has a camo net with camo scrim attached, a good, well used period helmet.

M8054 - 1944 DATED LEATHER GAUNTLETS.   £50
A good pair of brown leather motorcycle or vehicle driver gauntlets, dated inside 1944 with maker details but no military issue marks.

M6476 - TRENCH ART FUSILIER BADGE WITH GERMAN WOUND BADGE   £75
A large brass trench art item consisting of the fusilier cap badge approx 5 inches high and very slightly curved, in the centre of this has been fixed a german black wound badge of early brass type with most of its finish worn away, around the top has been inscribed "NORTH-d ROYAL FUS." This I think should be Royal Northunberland Fusiliers and at the bottom is "10 IND DIV." this will be 10th Indian Division, who the Royal N/Fusiliers were part of during the heavy fighting in Italy, a nice trench art item with history.

M9488 - BURMA CAMPAIGN MEDALS IN BOX OF ISSUE   £75
A set of soldiers medals still in the box of issue, with his name & address, they consist of the Defence & War medals, together with the 39-45 Star and the Burma Star, all with their ribbons, sadly no service career details.
