M9279 - WW11 IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS.   £95
A 2nd class Iron Cross, complete with its ribbon, good finish to iron core, the silver surround has lost its frosting but is good. The cross is a "shaker" but unusual in having no maker mark.

M9106 - WW11 IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS.   £95
A good condition Iron Cross 2nd class, with good finish to the iron core and undamaged silver surround, complete with its ribbon.

A good, 1st class Iron Cross, having well finished, black iron core and tidy 900 silver surround and backing with flat tapered pin, this is a non maker marked example.

M8650 - WW11 1ST CLASS IRON CROSS SCREWBACK.   £250
A good, screwback version of the 1st Class Iron Cross, with almost all black finish to the iron core, maker coded to the rear L/58 for Glaser & Sohne of Dresden, the rear screw disc and thread are in fine condition and works nicely and there is a fixed pin to the rear top of the cross to hold in place on the uniform and not let it turn.

M9362 - WW1 PRUSSIAN VETERANS ORG MEDAL IN BOX.   £100
A Prussian Veterans Organisation medal for WW1 soldier veterans, missing its ribbon and in a lined black card box, though not 100% sure it is the correct box but it has the veterans marking to the lid.

M9280 - WW1 IRON CROSS 2ND CLASS.   £50
A good, very original Iron Cross 2nd class, complete with its ribbon, which has age darkened to almost all black, cross has good black finish to the core and slight tarnish to the silver surround.

Mai 1938" which translates to the laying of the foundation stone for the volkswagen factory in May 1938. This would be at Wolfsburg where the home of VW still is. Has pin back fixing and is maker marked to what looks like Assmann.

M9360 - U-BOAT WAR BADGE.   £200
An early brass construction, with silver wash U-Boat War badge, maker marked to rear "Schwerin. Berlin 68" has lost some of its silver wash, aloowing the brass to show through, good badge with vertical pin fixing.

M8051 - TWO DAY BADGES WITH MISSING PINS.   £50
Two unusual circular and fairly large day badges, both sadly missing pins, one shows a large german eagle over the westwall fortifications, with "Gautag am Westwall" around the border and inside "Kaisers Tautern 1939". A ribbon bar for the Iron Cross 2nd class, with pin back fixing, worn on the uniform instead of the award.

A good, 1st pattern bronze issue, Italian/german Afrika Campaign Medal, with original ribbon. Though designed and produced by the Italians, it was only issued to the germans but remained an unofficial award. One side shows two gladiators doing battle with a crocodile. While the reverse shows the Feneli Arch was Italian & german symbols either side. Later issues were in zinc.

M9275 - ITALIAN 10TH DECIMA MAS BADGE   £375
Scarce metal arm badge for the Decima Flottiglia MAS, or 10th Assault Boat Flottilla of the Regia Marina. This was an italian commando frogman unit, which used both the "Barchini" motor boats and the more well known "Maiale" human torpedo's. They sank HMS York, raided Alexandria and Gibralta, in total they sank 5 warships and 20 merchant ships. The shield looks to be possibly zinc, painted a dark blue colour with a large red X in the centre, above "Flottiglia MAS" and topped by a skull with a red rose in its teeth, all the design work is in relief, stamped from the rear, the shield has three small holes to enable it to be fixed to backing material, then stitched to the uniform, a rare item with just a few minor scratches to the paint.

A good condition High Seas Fleet badge, with head on view of a battleship in gunmetal grey, inside a gilt wreath, topped with eagle, the gilt finish is almost all intact, the gunmetal highlights have rubbed to silver. Rear of badge has vertical pin assembly and is maker marked R.S.&S. for Richard Simm & Sohne.

Unusual item, being the gold/gilt ring or wreath from a German Cross in Gold award, this carries the date 1941 for when the award was introduced, has small fixing point to the rear, possibly saved from an award being broken up or just found as a part somewhere at wars end, very good condition.

A complete but fairly scruffy, boxed Iron Cross 1st class, the black leatherete covered case is good but well worn and hinge is very loose, has its white silk liner to the lid and good, purple velvet cushion to the base. The cross has pretty good, black finish to the iron core, decent silver surround, though join on the lower section of the silver sandwich construction is parting, though this does show how it is constructed, rear pin assembly is good.
