A very good condition RAF E-type oxygen mask, complete with straps, tube & crocodile clip and mike switch, a fairly rare mask now in this condition, these masks intended for the C type flying helmet when first produced in 1941 were made in fairly small numbers due to being quickly replaced by the G mask when it came into production.

M9581 - RAF E TYPE FLYING HELMET   £185

The cap comes with three framed photo's of early war period, one of a RAF pilot in uniform and wearing the cap, with a DFC ribbon but sadly no name. The second photo shows the same pilot with what appears to be his wife and the third photo shows a man of the same age in army uniform, possibly his brother. If someone can ID the man, there could be some good research.

M9583 - RAF C TYPE 1ST PATT FLYING HELMET   £285
A first pattern RAF C type flying helmet, unusual in being of black leather rather than brown, large size, with rubber cups fitted with replica phones, has its bennet buckle chinstrap and very clean chamois leather interior, just has slight damage to leather on the crown, otherwise very good and these 1st patt 1941 helmets are getting hard to find now.

A very nice RAF B-type leather flying helmet, with its bennet buckle chinstrap and poppered cheek pads (they were removed when the D type mask was used) has makers label inside the chamois leather interior, marked to R.Sterling & Co Ltd and is dated 1939, size 6&7/8 to 7. Leather very supple, zips working to phone covers and its owner has made a modification, by removing the back strap and sowing up the open split on the back of the helmet used to enlarge it, so its set at one size, stitches could easily be removed if wanted but I think it makes a nice fitting helmet.

M9374 - RAF ALTER CANDLESTICKS 1918 TO 1928.   £160
A matched pair of brass & wood holders for church alter candles. The round, wood bases are both stamped with a kings crown & GR, also one is stamped 1918, the other 1928, the brass candlestick stems have a cut and folded petal design to the top and have brass RAF cap badges fixed halfway up, they stand approx 8 inches high and have been made to hold 2 inch dia candles. A RAF aircraftmans medal set, still in their issue box with paperwork, including the Africa Star. Together with various photo's of him in uniform and in group settings, also there is a section of cloth eagles, trade & rank patches, plus metal cap badge & buttons, in a period, blanket lined cigarette box. M8944 - POLISH NAVIGATORS EAGLE BADGE.   £70
